slipped a disc or pinched nerve ?

Post by steptoe » Tue Sep 27, 2011 9:41 am

Shesus!! What did I do last night ? Cough, hack, splutter, cough....next minute the top half of my body did not want to sit nicely on the bottom half unless I stand bolt upright. Bit tricky getting changed for bed, then in bed just lay dead flat to not upset that lower back disconnected feeling. Only came good this morning as I rose later than normal. Still feels like something wemnt on so very careful. No real pain just did not like bending, turning, nothing....

Did I slip a disc or pinch a nerve and it come good with flat rest or what ?

I get both at the same time occaisonally. gentle exercise like walking helps, stretches and keep good posture.

Ok for all the people with back problems on the board

A working set of simple exercises

Use these to ease the pain, then start on a light exercise routine EG. walking, low weights with high repetition, walking in waist deep water or swimming.

If you are game enough aqua-aerobics when you get a little more back strength.
