Stuffed if I know why I bought a new fan dangled phone. New to me is colour screen, camera, internet access and a qwerty key pad.

Was a Dick Smith bargain closing down thing Who Are We U8350 known as a buzzard, blizzard or close.

The mother website is not giving me the full destructions, other gogl searches come up with french, italian, portugese pdf but no bloomin' englaisi'
Anyone else got same ?

It is a Boulder - good name to suggest it is technology in a small package you can shove in yer pocket , NOT !

Living up to the Hu a(r) we sounding name !! Was that you beside me at the counter when I was asking for the one sealed in the box, not the repaired at same price one ? DSE once sold us a 'returned by customer' fax that had some quirky dial up habits eventually showing up in scrutinised phone accounts, it had a memory...and so do we, or I did until the bargain blinded me :(

For the life of me - the blody intuitive magnify function has lost its gft of knowing when to pop up, the downloaded instruction does not mention one most important function. Bloody good eye test/strain reading emails. Is there a standard way to make magnify function work on android stuff :( ?

Well, skimming a pair of fingertips across the screen does not mak a mag glass come out from nowhere...

Just more notes for self on this phone and anyone else who searches the net..

Power on my phone just went on me yesterday. Connection to power did nothing, not even a charge overnight.Phone was dead, other than, once I pulled the battery and SIM removal, reassembled it SIMless , I got the white screen, red Huawei logo then went dark with android featuring a knight rider like white pulse along the name, did it all morning after disconnect battery charger in an effort to deplete power...

A call to the 1800 number last night reached after hours message to take it to a service centre. A call within hours got me assistance. Make sure battery has some charge, disconnect battery, replace it after a few minutes - then, one of those secret moves PRESS and HOLD three buttons - the green answer call key, the side vol up button and the power on button at the top. Select the lose dat.factory restore line a few lines down, pressed centre donut and got a reset, skipped lots of screens to get a funky time and date on screen now - but phone lives ! It survived a few physical threats late yesterday !!

Sounded like you were at the BFH threshold!

Phones - all fun and games until they stuff up and you don't have a backup :(

Cheers

Not yet, but got the bubble level, a compass that is a little confused, some torch that does not work on my phone so 'they' turn screen to brightest setting , and a sound meter.

Just waiting for the new phone books or an election coz one of them is likely to be pressured into handing out magnifying glasses :D

Download the Chomp app for android, for use with texts.
You can try it for free, with adds at the bottom, if u like, pay a few dollars and the adds are gone.
Allows you to set font sizes to what you want, change colours, backgrounds, templates etc, many minutes of fun to customise to suit.

No need for glasses.
