Dumb stuff you see out there.....

Reading one of Bennies posts gave me the idea ....

Lemme see, in the past few weeks I have seen:

Commodore just drifting out of her lane into the breakdown strip so starting to dust up the gravel and crap, picking out a few raised reflectors and heading straight for a few decent size light posts , then suddenly a wake up correction and back on the road again. Stiff if there was a pushy in the breaksown lane :(

Coupla kids on hols, about 14 yo, can't wait for a break in the traffic to cross two lanes on their BMX and just missed being skittled by a funeral directors car!

Another kid, similar age, same sorta bike, rode right across my path as I slowed for a give way sign. He was in a world of his own (no head phones) I gave him a gentle wake up blast on the new air horns. Woke him up for sure, poor bugger nearly fell off his bike.

Saw a decent size mobile crane drifting off into similar breakdown lane at a decent rat of knots. Likely not at all related to the smaller crane driver I saw rolling through a school zone school car park at 3.00pm on a school day with a mobile phone in hand !!

I saw a lady the other day walk across a rode in the middle of town on a busy street without even looking. She wasn't on her phone either! Lucky I was pulling out of a car park and not passing at the speed limit! Oh, and now there are councils around melbourne that are dropping the residential speed limit to 40km/h.

Also just the usual "I'm not dipping my head lights" action as usual. 3x 130watts of driving light usually has them change their mind pretty quick!

Bendigo police are having a blitz on driver behaviour - it'll be interesting to see what the results/outcomes are!

Cheers

Bennie

Ford Laser on 2 wheels going through a round about at over 70km/hr!

Hilux(rolelux) trying to drift in the wet almost loosing control through a set of lights... red P-Plate up. lol

Cop car with green P-Plates up. Pulled up next to it to find a young bloke in the drivers seat with 'In Training' writting on his sleeve and a real copper in the passenger seat. That was certainly interesting.

Ford Falcon tray back ute doing a burnout on the spot at a set of red lights in Mandurah (last weekend). Really smoked it up, the funny thing is he slipped off the brake and almost went into the guy infront with a trailer on!

Amazingly the road I drive on every day is supposed to be one of the worst, but I never see any really stupid drivers. Worst on that road is a little old asian man in a tiny ford driving like the car is stolen i.e, tailgaiting everyone, changing lanes aggressively without indicating, he even ran a red light once I think.

Worst thing I've ever seen though was a dumb blonde in a brand new black luxury BMW pull out of a side street into a 2 lanes wide 60 zone at peak hour without looking...literally just drove straight out without even slowing down or looking to see what was coming :-x

The worst drivers are always in commodores or tradies in their loaded up 4x4 utes, and ones like that I just try to put as many cars between me and them as possible

Glad you said the Commode thing first, sems to be that and WHS fluro clad :)

Also had to pass a dude in an Econovan doing 60 in an 80 - engrossed in a friggin novel - I could see it was not a map as I went by him.

An old bloke in a panel van steering with his inside of elbows while trimming his nails with a pair of scissors in his dash lights !!
