I am a contender with the notion of turbo Brumby in 2005 , when in 2006 I bought two red GLTA L series turbo sedans , about 173 VIN's and 2 yrs complliance plate dates apart, got them in the same morning
One has long gone, the other being the development for LPG turbo in readiness for organ donation (testicles aren't organs are they ?) have got 90,000km on it - can't bear to wreck it.
So turbo Brumby still on the agenda.
I found an oil pressure gauge and its receipt - intended to go where clock is in Brumby TOONGA since proved it will fit. Its receipt is SEP2007 - still in project box !
I think same subject has been up before but did not result in search
looking for oldest unfinished project

I still have laying on the shelf in my shed an Apexi SAFC that I was gonna use in my coming up to 3 years gone EA82 turbo L series. I also have 6 bent pieces of exhaust pipe thats about 2 years old that I was gonna make headers for my Outback. Then there is the LSD rear and VTD centre diff that I bought last year to go in the Outback as well.
The biggest issue is that as a daily driver, any mods need to be completed in less than a weekend so I can drive to work on monday.

I bought a Datsun 1200 ute 8 years ago, good looking little truck, drove it 3 days, then pulled it apart to nothing. Has been a rolling shell ever since, I've fitted brand new 16 wheels and tyres, I've heavily modified the A series engine (Oval port Big valve head,H beam rods, forged pistons, roller rockers, windage tray, crankscraper, MSD ignition, etc) 60A 5 speed trans, every conceivable piece of chrome trim is all NOS from Japan, new rubber kit, the list is endless for other new parts.
Will it ever come together?
Hopefully one day.
