The 2013 Subaru Forester is packed with new features; X-Mode and Automatic rear tail gate being two of the standouts. For a great review on the new Forester and it's features check out:

Can I have a detailed technical explanation of how Xdrive works? Is it the same MPT clutch pack that previous models have used, but with selectable preset lookup tables to suit different conditions,.. or is it a new transfer system along the lines of VTD/DCCD?

No 2.5 Manual plus the ongoing issues with the DPF on the diesel are the breakers for me, I'll stick with my 03 XS thanks all the same.

Short trips is about all I do these days, so that kills off the prospect of a diesel.
My days of driving from Brissy - Melb. or Brissy - Townsville are all but over, it's cheaper to fly and hire a car than pay the fuel bill.

While I am not a fan of constant advertising.
That Forester looks rather pretty - it needed a facelift as good as that.
Also, When do we get a new Brumby?

Subactive, while we have your attention, can you tell me if the new Forester can take 16-inch wheels? Do they fit over the front brake calipers?
It would certainly make our life easier when off-roading...
New Brumby ...

Highly doubtful!!!!
I reckon you'll find these same posts on other forums too.
I want to see a pic of their subaru(s) that have a history with him/her.
Sick of this type of advertising - this is really what it is when it all boils down.
Cheers
