It is non sube - but interesting in a few trivial points

http://www.uniquecarsmag.com.au/news-an ... 77429.aspx

I stumbled upon it reading about the late journo Evan Green (1930- 1996 Fiji) who was the one at the centre of the SuperCar scare in 1972 (was history even when I first found out about it) that led to manufacturers stopping their 260kph capable off the showroom family sedan based plans

Trivia #1 Considering Ford Oz closing shop here - Holdens were built at at least two plants, one in Sydney Pagewood, another Melb. Was Adelaide another ? Salsbury ? I recall mid 70's , dad driving past the factory in Sydney producing Leylands of all sorts in those 'allsorts' colours, pink? purple/mauve and spewgreen? Years later to work with a guy who worked on the P76 assembly line who quit after one day of installing heaters :D

Trivia #2 one way to read unique car mag articles without buying the mag itself - a thifty tuesday activity p'raps?

Trivia #3 back in the day the geniusii fettled things like Chev pistons and Merc conrods into a Holden engine to increase its capacity from 2900cc to 3500cc and reported HP to 230 !!

 this is where we need a Norm Beechey to play with the old EA81 and 2's

Thanks Jonno, brings a tear to the eye, having owned several EH Holdens as a teenager.
Yes it was possible to "peg it" (bring the speedo to maximum speed) on a tripple carbed EH, with a Beechly cam, as I owned one, this of course was done under controlled conditions on a controlled roadway:D
Back in those days, every EH with tripple carbs was an "S4", well thats what they used to say.
Ah, history, seems like yesterday.

The days when photo licences were just a figment of someones imagination, so too O2 sensors, crank angle sensors and air flow meters :D
