Everything is made in China 'these days' , so how come UK has the market sewn up on 1 7/8" (48mm) silicone hose bends ?

Same thing happened last hose I needed ( or thought I did :( ) - no source from China or HK with their affordable or free postage.

The UK has a wide variety of 48mm hoses and bends , looking at 90 degree bend 48mm ID for the moment. I tried changing the three options of search australia ebay, worldwide etc but still UK has it - no HK or China at all.
The UK postage varies depending on what they do to the original item price but still looks about double to land a hose from UK instead of China

http://www.ebay.ch might be Chile ...cn is China ??

http://www.ebay.com.hk/sch/i.html?_trks ... &_from=R40

100 HK$ is A$14 atm and their prices not much different if anything from UK ebay !!

http://www.ebay.com.hk/itm/90-Degree-Si ... 3cd98474d3 WOW !! The sizes on offer !! Not coming out of Honk Kong or China on this one - try Walnut , California !! :)

http://www.ebay.ch is in German

1.00 AUD = 6.91854 HKD

from http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/#

so 110.02 HKD = 15.9022 AUD

Cheaper than the UK?

From memory eBay isn't in China, they use another auction site that has a tie-in with eBay - something like baobao.

FYI, .ch is Switzerland - Confederation Helvetica. Germany is de (Deutschland).

And the Chinese eBay equivalent is http://www.taoboa.com - I was close :)
