really can't say I recall swimwear or undies being advertised in any car mags I've bought at the newsagent ...little wonder it has taken so long for this style to cycle back to consumer world - taken two generations to forget it

moving on to 1971 ...somone felt the need to be running full page ads for undies, pretty sexy ones at that too
