old craftmanship selling so cheap :(

damn shame about workmanship of old ... been researching John Rabone & sons of Birmingham who made my yardstick (carpenters rule, archyetct rule) #1119 to be precise- made of laminated warrant box , 180* brass hinges, perfectly inlaid, complete with dowel pins to keep it true when folded, brass centre hinge with protractor markings, scaled markings on the inside bevels, nice, square brass ends - stuff knows how many hunched up hours , or how many people it took to make one of these over a two hundred year period ending in the 1950's - and they are to be found on ebay starting from as little as a few pounds up to 125.00

effin' glad none of my school teachers knew about these old knuckle busters !!
