Did the forum just go back in time? I distinctly remember updating one of my old threads and tediously replacing every single picture (which had all disappeared) last week some time. Now all those changes are gone some posts I made in the last week are gone and all the latest posts are from weeks ago...

I am having some PC troubles at the moment, had to do a system restore. Am I the only one seeing a snapshot of the forum from weeks ago?

I would say the board was restored from a backup, which may not have been a recent "snapshot" of the board.

It happens over my time here since 2009 I've noticed it about 4 or 5 times

Just noticed the most recent posts apart from today are the 24th of July which is probably the last time a "snapshot" of the board was stored on the server.

I would say that they D'DOS fellows attacked again shutting the board down ...

Yeah it has SB. I received an email alert from the forum of a new post on a thread at 10:55pm. So I guess something has happened since then as that thread now only has two posts in it instead of the 11 or so it had last time I read the latest new post.

I doubt there's much we can do about it other than our own back up of threads (word document) or go through the motions again. I write out trip reports on a word document with the image links in, then I have to count the number of images per post (only 8 allowed per post) and simply divide up my report appropriately.

SB's build thread says 24th August on the last post's time stamp. Is this just before or just after the last time the forum dropped offline?

That is so annoying I uploaded the images directly to this site for one of my old threads because the image hosts kept losing them making the thread useless. Took me ages to go through every post and upload/re-link all the pictures.

Why are people attacking this site anyway? It is just soft target or is somebody just bored

So a weird thing happened after post

So a weird thing happened after posting in here using the computer. Decided to try the phone - and the forum was as it has been with the new post I discussed previously.

I added a post to the thread and went back to the home page where it was displayed and could be opened and viewed again. This thread could not be found either.

Now I can't find it on either the computer connection or the phone.

Yeah looks like we've been hacked again ... probably some numpty getting their rocks off on disrupting the service provider, either that or they have grudge against them ...

Time to bring us onto a new system I'd say ...
