Damn Brett, can we have MattS as a moderator?!?

This is something that's been floating around the ether for the last little bit, makes some interesting - and scary - reading.

The idiot deserved it though.

By the way, these guys don't play nice so if you feel the need to post on Pirate don't mention Ausubaru - whatever you do.

Can some smart person that has read it all give us an overview. First 5 pages were riverting but it will take me a month to read them all.

The long and the short of it:

Basically some punk kid tried to sell a normal sorta guy some brand new diff gears, changed the price then it was discovered that the gears were not brand new at all. Cashed the cheque but didn't send the gears.

MattS, Pirate4x4 Moderator, some law-talking guy, finds out who the dodgee seller is and posts much of his private info on the internet (under US Freedom of Information laws), including a picture of him.

In the end, we find out where he lives, what his telephone number is, what he looks like, what his parents do for work, that his uncle is a keyboard player in a rock band etc etc.

The really funny thing is he keeps changing his story the whole time, the gears are sent, the gears are still here, your cheque's in the mail blah blah blah. And Pirate really screw this guy over - all over $25.

I think this is the biggest owning I've ever seen.

Someone get me some more popcorn and a large drink please.

The check is still trying to clear 30days later and the buyer sent the cops on the tosser as he was phone stalking the buyer... the thread is 54.000 hits and growing

thats bloody funny reading. I wasted atleast 2 hours yesterday softing through it.

I really do hate punks that rip people off over the internet. Has happened to me a couple of times, and i never got them back like these guys did )
