im pretty sure three quarters of my weekly wage goes into something on my wagon, whether its a fix or a mod- its become a habit i cant break.
i spose no one can really appreciate the love for your car except for yourself but ill declare my love anyway.

btw fyi the other quarter is spent on booze and fuel

yes there is some sort of disease with the purchase of a subi, love driving mine every day and when it needs fixing it always get done asap !!!!!

also to there is a saying once you go turbo you never go back, it gets in your blood some how!!

Yeah it's a worry - Never was into Cars - I was a bike man, But since I've got the brumby it's all changed - in retrospect the best thing was that there was a bit wrong with it when I bought it (that offcourse I didn't know about it) so I spent a fair bit of time under the bonnet, and underneath it, on websites and with my head in repair manuals. My wife just doens't get it - but neither did I before I got one.

Still a green horn when it comes the car but some of the stuff on the forum so makes sense to me - I know now what type of new donk I can put in to replace my EA81!

Love it lots...Just got back from a 2500km jaunt up the south coast of NSW and back via Howqua over the divide too Woods Point, through too Jamieson, Mansfield and home to Geelong.
The 'L' never missed a beat, carried all I needed, returned amazing fuel econ' (8-9lt/100km) fully loaded! Best of all though is that there was not one squeak, rattle or buzz, and this from a 15yr old 240000km vehicle!!! Makes me wonder why I ever bothered with new $40000 vehicles
Mind you, I did find myself down-shifting alot on very slight gradients:rolleyes:
Found the wagon space much more useable than previous vehicles (05' crd jeep cherokee/ 99' forester ltd/ 99' vectra wgn/ 86' sigma wgn).
This thing is awesome:D

I tell myself and my bank balance i wont spend any more on the L series but you just cant help but to tinker with it..........every weeks pay has some level of devotion to the Subaru.

id rather drive tha brumby than the forester . the brumby is more nippier and i can bring home biger things.

I'm still reasonably new to the subaru scene since buying a 99 outback about 3 months ago.

I have not looked back to my 'ol gemini wagon! (which I loved to pieces)

Just last week 5 of us took it from Brisbane down to coffs harbour to do a canyoning trip in the hills. Even loaded up with all our stuff, the handling didn't change at all (whereas the gemi let you know when you had passengers). Used just under 8L/100km too.

Mighty impressed - can see why people stick to subaru after owning one!

Yeah ya get ya first mod by saving for weeks and install it, ya think its sweet. Then the second mod comes along and ya buy it before ya pay ya rent then install it. its pure madness. By this time the third mod comes along and ya never remember installing so it must of installed itself plus all ya got left is a carton of bundy, no food and as sweet as subi. And ya think wot more is there to life

I definitely think its an obsession... no no a secret love affair...no no a good hobby...

man, do i ever love my siouxsie soob. even if she does have scars from an encounter with a truck and other miscellaneous issues. oh, and occasionally burns me with the seatbelt buckle.

You just can't beat a suby there so much fun and I don't care how much money I spend on them I just love both of them to much. It's a subaru thing.
