Shit yes, bloody good eating, beware of spines and getting lost in that bloody big mouth of theirs
Also, ALWAYS be certain of what you are eating, don't want to get cigatuera if you don't have to - some rock cods have it...
Get the Guide to QLD fishes, its pricey but has practically every one of the lil critters in it...
