Adelaide (northern) fishing spots?????

Does anyone know of any Northern fishing spots? Looking to wet the lines, and maybe try out the 4WD handle, to see if it actually works ( haven't tried it at all since I bought the car ha ha)
Can you get in around the weapons area out on Port Wakefield road at all, it kind of looks interesting when you look at it on Google maps!
Any ideas , comments , stories!
