Upper reach of cabooture river

anyone tried to catch bass up there .. i have done a little investigting and it seems our river is stocked with bass ..

with the drought on now the water is pretty clear and i was wondering if anyone has had a go at getting any ? i have only ever fished there once with bait from the bank and got a heap of eels and fresh cat's

I haven't fished it but have paddled the length of it in a canoe on an exploratory run. We saw plenty of bass just mooching around and plenty of surface strikes which I put down to them. I reckon it would be well worth a go for them.
