Jake got them today off the beach at Bribie. He was dropped off at the car park at the surf side. He and his mate walked most of the way up the beach to get them.
I took them up the beach over the last few days chasing Tailor and it got them keen. We have caught over 50 Tailor on the last 2 outings. Some kept, most let go. The hardy heads are schooled up big time and the Tailor are smashing them right on the edge.
They went back today to try to get some more and those fish (pics) happened.

Early 1987 My mother caught one on a reef near an island called "Bare Sandy" (S12 32.222 E130 25.232) roughly 68km from the ramp (S 12 31.605 E130 56.349) on the family 5m quintrex. Why do I remember this so vividly? Mum was roughly 6 months pregnant with Sarah (subydreams). The fish weighed in at 14lbs. I caught a reef whaler that day on a handline that was 16lb :P and hooked then dropped a fish in a school of busting Tuna, I was 8 :PLightning_Silver_RX wrote:That's a big skinny anywhere. I've never heard anyone else down here call them a skinny Ben, I usually get blank looks.
They pull like freight trains !! I was nearly pulled out of a boat by one of them when I was a wee tacker.
That skinny was awesome, went nuts.
Skinny skin glows in the dark too!
