pretty much taking any offers now. rego cancelled. got work car and cruiser need this gone! call me this weekend and take it for 1000?! bargain. luft kit alone worth 600...

Have you had a look at the completed listings on ebay to find out a more realistic market price ?
Unregistered and no RWC brings the price right down.

I have but I reckon mine is above those cars. No rust, fairly straight etc.
I reckon it's worth at least 3500. Plus mine comes with spares and has some mods that aren't common.

That could be what's keeping people away, and to the market it could be something that de-values the vehicle. You might have to sit tight for the right buyer

Constructive criticism

1. Car is worth say $4k.
2. Buyer will need to spend $2k to bring it up to roadworthy condition including rego (which will likely be more than $487).
3. Car is still worth $4k.
4. Mods to car improve offroad ability.
5. Buyer sees above as 'car has been treated roughly'
6. Car is worth less than $4k due to known history.

I paid $3500 for my Brumby several years ago. I then spent almost $2k on changing to a 5 speed box, changing all engine seals (still leaks), CVs, etc. $300 on rear discs. And another $200 on wheels (plus $500 of decent Bridgestone tyres). Car is still worth....$3500 (if I'm lucky).

All fair enough. When I bought the car it cost me 700 to get a rwc but it had rego. however if i was looking for a brumby i would have bought mine

its down at 3600 now. there will always be people who think modifications means its being treated badly, in reality it generally means the owner treats the car better as they are actually passionate about them.
