I KNOW WHERE this car is :)

its in brisbane. one of the shops I do compliance work for has it and tried to buy it- fellow in perth owns it and the compliance work is done on it as I understand. apart from the 22b badge it looks fairly ordinary.

You want to do it for me? Might make a good replacement airport car.

Same model RS motor.
Paint.
Lift kit.
3rd row seats.
Fix aircon.
New rad.

You need something to do while you decide what colour to paint your boy-racer :)

If it wasn't in Victoria it would already be bid on by me. I could fly down with a radiator and water pump, fix it and drive it home but that would add about $7-800 to the price.

There is cheap ones around here if you/me/we keep our eyes open. Coffeeguy just bought on in similar condition but with twin turbo motor fitted for a good price. I have to make it work but that is easy enough.

Also know where there is a Gen 2 full import GT legacy for about $4000 that needs a motor.

would be a good buy already lifted!!

that's my old car, sold it to a guy from works dad, didn't realise it was up for sale again, might even buy it back as I miss it a lot, the impreza just doesn't have the same quality build compared to the lib.

Surely all you have to do is modify it to meet the ADRs for that year. This could cost thousands, but why not? Am I missing something. I thought that was the main reason they didn't come here to start with, the cost of compliance would have been prohibitive.

Hey Neil... Just call but these cars on Ebay are Licensed under the Personnel Import Scheme. I brought mine in for Hill Climbs and some Track Days so I got approval for Rally/Race License.
