Nah.. EN05/07 is not Daihatsu.. it's been a Subaru engine from day 1. It was a replacement for the EK (2cyl) engines.. also Subaru.

They are an awesome power to weight ratio engine and during the mid 90s they had a great rally following in Japan. This would be the only S/C'd Rex that I know that has been lic'd in Aus.

Is it AWD or just FWD?

They were available in Japan as either but AWD for the rally edition.

Edit: Looking back at the Ebay ad, it appears this is just the local 2WD model (Gen3 Ver1).. would be good for Jules to take the kiddy winks to school in :)

I saw another one for sale on SA Gumtree not long ago, supercharged as well. It had a blown motor or something though, out of rego and went cheap.

That's what I thought and was surprised it was 2wd.
