Sell EOI on my late 1990 Brumby

Post by ashleyn » Wed Feb 15, 2012 10:09 pm

I'm thinking of swapping the Brumby. Only advertised here ATM to gauge interest from those in the know.

I have owned this baby for nearly 7 years. It has been regularly serviced and maintained by East Perth Subaru and done only 25,000k since I’ve had it. It is a 12/90 build, 220K on the clock and registered until June. In the time I’ve owned it, I’ve had repaired, replaced or upgraded:
• Exhaust replaced from the Cat back (1 7/8”).
• New radiator & water pump
• New windscreen
• Sports steering wheel
• Air cond compressor (air is cold as)
• Dash mat (covering cracked dash)
• New high output headlight globes
All this in the last 12 months
• New Weber carb, yep brand new
• High output coil
• 2” Crossbred lift kit
• New Pedders rear shocks
• As new Pedders front struts & King springs
• 90% tread 205 70 14’s on Sunnies (4)
• L series seats (quite new seat covers as the seats are the wrong color)
• Some new chrome on the tray and new rear light lenses
• LHS drive shaft & both CV’s (recent, last week). RHS CV’s 20k and new boot last month
• New Alternator, ignition switch.
• New battery (3 year warranty)
Subaru Accessories
• Bullbar with SCA driving lights
• Rear step/towbar
Also comes with:
• Rego until June 2012
• Immobiliser
• Rubber mat in ute tray ($100 from Clarke rubber)
• Sump guard to go back on
• Jack, standard 13” spare
• Gregory’s manual
• And the usual collection of odd parts, bolts, etc.
The good bits
• All of the above, I’ve spent thousands in the past year alone and have all the receipts.
• The engine is in great shape, no smoke, doesn’t use any oil and probably has another 200k left in it.
• Recently went to Bunbury carrying 6 sets of golf clubs and it hummed along at 100-110 no problems.
• No cooling problems at all, never overheats
• The air cond is icy cold
The bad bits
• Not many that I know of. I had the Weber fitted by the boys @ East Perth Subaru and never seemed to get it ‘perfect’. Car starts OK, idles and certainly goes when you boot it but could be better I’m sure.
• A few standard minor dents and scratches, paint is OK. I’ve replaced the tailgate which is pretty straight but has my own home paint job. Currently missing the badges but I have them to put back on.
• Very little rust, some in the front guards but I’ve treated it
• Recently replaced the original radio with a little FM unit. Works fine but if you want something better, I have a mounting kit that I’ll throw in.
