I was going to say about the owner... looks like the edit beat me to it.

I'm really surprised this hasn't sold yet. While I'd love to take it on I'm in no position to do so

Best of luck with the sale xbread!

Cheers

If i had the coin it would be mine as i have seen this vehicle up close and it does surpass all other conversions to Brumbies i have seen. The owner would be very distressed at parting with this but i have heard it is not a decision that was easy to make.No one would be dissappointed to say they own it.

I saw this on Gumtree the other day and drooled a bit on it.
Wonderful vehicle.
I'm sure it will find the right owner soon.

I think it all comes down to finding the right buyer with a vehicle like this - that takes time.

Also a ball park figure on the amount the owner would like in exchange would be good.

And if I were to purchase it I would want to first know that I could get it registered down here without hasstles from vicroads - but that would be when I start asking questions about it.

Sit tight, get the word out as much as possible and the right buyer will come up - that's always the challenge with modified vehicle IMO.

Cheers

Is it mod plated? Is it registered with the STI engine?

Yes the car is MOD plated and registed. The car is mine and i am selling it due to having too many cars and the fact that i just don't get to use it. There is also a spare standard [painted] bonnet and rear bumperettes to go with it in case whoever wants to make it stand out less. I towed my boat up to he Gulf of Capentaria with it a couple of years ago so i know it is a very capable vehicle.
The car has probably only done 15,000Ks since the motor was rebuilt. The gearbox and diff are out of my Gen 3 Outback as i kept my hybrid gearbox.
I am looking for $10,000 . It cost much more than that to build. I only listed it on Gumtree a couple of weeks ago as i have been humming and harring about selling it for a while . I will list it on Carsales this coming weekend. Any questions just ask

I really wish I could dig this deep! ( first child almost here...)

Do you reckon you would have any problems registering it in canberra?

Such a sweet brumby

It would have to be engineered again I am sure, though the A C T R T A is more forgiving than NSW. NSW R T A or R M S have a list of approved signatories and if the engineer is not curently listed, a little last line of Rule 302 I think it is, need to have their management consider the application and all the paperwork. I've done it once with an MGB registered in Vic for twenty years since converted from LHD to RHD, no power upgrades or other. Only found the 'clause' when chastised and told to 'read your rules' :D

One guy at ACT tech s t a n d a r d s thought EJ was std Brumby engine :)
