2007 liberty 2.5i gearbox - 5 speed manual

Post by wogboy_9000 » Fri Feb 15, 2013 10:30 am

hi guys,

I've got a 2007 Liberty my07 manual gearbox for sale.
It has 145, 000kms. No crunching or hard shifts - shifts perfectly.
It does however have a whine only on acceleration from 60km/h onward.

Ideal for someone who can pull apart the box and replace a couple bearings.

$250
please PM. pics up in the next few days.

apologies - I should have mentioned. Its single ratio.
With this said, the mechanic who installed my new gearbox seemed to think they were interchangeable and the lever was the only difference. Matching gearbox and rear diff ratios is essential though.

Paul's little helpful tip for today... Both Single and Dual Range EJ AWD boxes will both have the tranfer gearset bolted inside the rear extension housing. The Dual Range box will have have a small lever up the front for High/Low selection, other than that, both boxes look the same.

dual range section is inside the gearbox not transfer case - thats the centre diff in the rear of the gearbox.
Was it from an sedan or wagon and what series model Gen4?

Post by dangermouse37 » Tue Sep 24, 2013 8:29 pm

Hi. Is the Liberty gearbox still for sale? If so what are the chances of getting it shipped to Melbourne? Thanks.
