2003 Forester Window Switch/Motor

Post by bullifamilie » Fri May 10, 2013 10:51 am

Helping a mate tomorrow who's drivers window is stuck down on his 2003 Forester.
I've got a motor out of a legacy that looks the same but I'm betting on it being a wiring or switch fault.

Does anyone have a Drivers door window switch module for sale?

I might need a motor as well if mine doesn't fit.

Does anyone know if this is a common failure? and if so what's normally tjhe cause.

Thanks for looking

Mine stuck down on my 2000 Forester - It was a fuse fault.
Happened once more and it was a problem with a switch, an old connection came off it, soldered back on and away she went.
Otter the 2004 Outback with all the fruit.

I'm with Jay-Jay and would be checking for power at the switch. If there is power there, then pull the switch apart (do this carefully as there is balls and springs in there) and check the contacts for burn marks. Most problems come from moisture getting inside them, so most time just need a clean out.
