I am chasing a known good dual range box to suit gen1 liberty.
currently running a gen1 3.9 box but would consider a later model dual range if required parts are available.

Later model will be your best bet VV!
It'll bolt in, L series low range can be fitted - and much easier if you're pulling it from another EJ box (excluding the Gen1 box due to sharing the same input bearing as the L series).
Gen1 boxes are hard to comeby, even in the yards down here. We're seeing an influx of Gen3s with the odd L and Gen1/2 coming through... Many are auto. Times have changed :/
