EJ22E short or dead motor

I am after a motor for a build I have been sasked to do , so need one of the follwing EJ22E or EJ25



I have a running EJ22 if any one needs as well

Gday i've got a 2004 liberty gt long block, with turbo if your interested. Was running but knocking. 0420721267 thanks

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of that page, it's very America-centric, we never had EJ22 in any of our Imprezas. Is E just supposed to designate the non turbo SOHC EJ22? It doesn't go into details about what that designation is all about. We had it from 1989 also, US didn't apparently.

I know about the power difference but its very small - does it matter if its an EJ22 instead of "EJ22E"?
