CV Joints for a 93 L Series Sports wagon
CV Joints for a 93 L Series Sports wagon
I am in Rockingham WA. Can anyone tell me of reliable places to purchase some CV joints?
I bought some new ones via Ebay they were made in China. When fitted they made lots of loud drumming noises when driving in both straight lines or on cornering, so loud passersby were staring at me!
The company are giving me back the full purchase price, under the 14 day money back return policy, plus $100 for my trouble (plus I can keep the defective ones lol.). Meanwhile the old ones have been refitted.
Anyone know anywhere likely to sell a better product without paying heaps.
Thanks.

Nationwide REPCO put a five year /100,000km on theirs..... also made in China but likely to a better std than your ebay units, though I did have to get a few swapped under warranty over that 100,000km and they swapped over without too much pain from the staff - not carrying on as if they owned the store !
My best set so far were bitsa this one, bitsa that one and all went in my Brumby. Finding L shafts not all that serviceable not really made to come apart lik MY ones

buying stuff of ebay is a gamble - sometimes they last, sometimes it doesn't.Esubie wrote:At least the seller is treating the OP right so might not be fair to Name and Shame them.
Bit worried cos I just got an Ebay one put in. OK so far.
Bought an submersible pump, one lasted 6months before water got in, bought another exactly the same one and its still in there 3 years later...

Give allens cvs a call in Osborne park and grab some from there next time you're in perth. The best drive shaft shop I've ever dealt with.
