EA82T parts

Post by Johnny T » Fri Dec 06, 2013 4:07 pm

Hey everyone,

I'm almost done putting my engine back together and hopefully having it started up before new years, the only thing is that I am looking for a plastic hose that has been cut from a friend who said he was going to help me but end up cutting everything.

Long story short, i'm looking for a plastic hose that sits behind the spider manifold, not to sure what it does but I do need a replacement. I have attached a photo below and if anyone can help me out it would be great.

Once its all back together I'm going to repair the sun roof and work on the body and hopefully this time next year I'll have it back on the road :)

They are (very) hard to find - I recall them being still available from Subaru, cannot recall the $$$ though.

I made one using flexible hose, clamps and t-junctions - worked just fine.

And everyone has a 'friend' who like s to 'help'!!

Use oil resistant hose, not heater/coolant hose. I used powersteering return line for mine

I reckon copper pipe with all the T pieces and bends available from hardware or plumbing supplies would be your best shot to make a copy .While you are at it make a few - nncoolg is after one as well ......

Great idea.

I used the metal pipe legs off a plastic school chair and TIG welded the T's myself. Very time consuming and fiddly for little gain (other than the personal satisfaction)
