Weber 32/36 into EA81

Ok so there are plenty of small threads on here that answer certain questions.
I believe that it is time for a weber sticky.
My plan is to cumulate all the info we can the edit it into one post, make it a sticky, and delete all comments in between. so basically it becomes just an answers post on exactly how to do it, or a FAQ. or an everything and anything on converting to a weber. Oh and with lots and lots of pics.

So to start off the info. Toonga has a great pic of how the vacuum lines are hooked up if you so wish. I think that should be here.

Though I have some questions first up.
What do you do to the electrical stuff that is connected to the hitachi when you fit the weber.
And will it fit an unlifted vehicle?
I'm going to run the stock air filter, with an adapter that sits on top an becomes what was the hitachi top essentially. Il upload a photo in the morning.
Likely to fit without first fitting my lift kit?

Cam this is a great idea, as I have seen in the last month alone, 3 people do or enquire about the conversion.

What ever information I have on the weber conversion is available for everyone. :)

I think it would be best to start with a detailed picture heavy description of the conversion. and for Bennies sake, lets keep the spam out of this thread or which ever thread it ends up being :)

Yep that's why I wanted to make it. And that I have those above questions.
A weber 101 all in one place without ANY spam.
Probs this thread.

well that was what I was hinting at this morning Cam, when you do your conversion you take a billion pictures and write it up.

Toonga, the small coolant hoses 2 and 5, are these purely for the choke on the Hitachi carb? I was going to plug up the coolant passage that is there for the carb and get a coolant based Weber. I know the manifold has a cross flow for coolant between the heads, so I'm just wondering if these are all combined or separate.

You would be able to use the hoses that come off the manifold or the block. but make sure they stay connected as they stop bubble from forming in the block. the coolant passage for the carb is a crock and can be blocked off but make sure both ends are blocked.
