File doesn't exist.
I was watching the 2 promotional videos on YouTube and found it existed.
I really want one now.

I thought these were great when I saw them, I particularly like the bit where he's throwing the red wagon around on the gravel :D Gotta wonder if he really knew what he was doing though when he kept going into that deep creek until the engine stopped:?

I found those vids on YouTube a while ago, the bit in the deep water had me in tears. How's the way the crew stripped off to push him out. Definitely a crackup. The book would be cool to own for sure.

Cheers

That book spends about 10 of its 50 pages explaining why you shouldn't leave the suspension wound up, or leave it in 4WD when you don't need it. Pretty cool bit of memorabilia though ;)

Can you put the book into PDF for the rest of us?

It's gonna be hot and humid tomorrow, I could oblige with the book-PDF if Bantum doesn't. Turning scans to PDF's isn't hard is it?

Found this link, however same problem with downloading, but it does show some of the book, You may also have to use Google Chrome as your browser and then choose the translate option up the top....

Would if I could, two things going against it:
  • Book is with the Wagon, which is in Storage ...
  • Storage is in Darwin & I'm in Brisbane ...
Sorry, but nothing's going to happen any time soon ... :(

We'll have to see if we can find it through other sources ... :)

Cheers, Bantum ...

That was absolutely fascinating. I too want the book (or access to the PDF)
Dont know why he didnt drown the Touring wagon in the creek, I thought the water was far enough over the bonnet to be at the air intake which is on that side.
Very naughty of the mum and dad at the shopping centre, they were strapped in but daughter in the back wasnt.
Liked the promo on how easy it is to fold the rear seat back up (from folding down) what they didnt show is all the stuffing around usually needed to find the seat belt which slips down the back of the seat. Then again, maybe that's why the girl wasnt wearing a belt, it fell down the back of the seat and they couldnt find it.
Good stuff with the Toyota comparison.
This is going to inspire me to put the new gearbox stick bushes into the MY today as I can only get 4th about 20% of the time. Rest of the time reverse is on the cards (well grinding anyway) This has also brought back my thoughts to put the 3.9 ratio 4WD auto back into the car. Just need to get a hold of one and the diff as my original is long gone now as the manual has been in the car for about 12 years.
