After putting the front end on jack stands we put a jack under the gearbox and engine to "take the weight" and lower and raise it.
Then we undid all the bolts on the gearbox crossmember and the steering crossmember and proceded to lower the gearbox and engine.

(thats my daughter helping Bennie and taking a photo of her new best friend)
After a bit of wiggling the engine and gearbox were lowered and the lift blocks installed. Things were progressing well and Bennie was using the torque wrench to tighten the bolts when BANG one of the high tensile bolts broke. This was not good as they were brand new bolts so not happy jan. Never mind we managed to use one of the old origianl bolts that came with the lift kit. It was at this time we noticed that the washers supplied with the new bolts were not up to the task.

So we undid the 4 new bolts and used the washers from the original bolts which proved to be much better.

Aside from this little delema we were going good.
We then moved on to the strut tops.

Apologies from this point on for the lack photo's. The next phase involved a race to see who could get the brake lines and get the strut out and put the strut top on and back in. I managed to get the brake line out first but Bennie beat me the rest of the way.
Afte getting the struts back in we were excited that it was not as difficult as we thought it, and still we forgot to get more pics.
Anyway the next stage involved the steering extension which was a bit tricky but Bennie hoped in the car and undid the steering column and we managed to fit it in.
