Lift Kit, where to buy

Post by Kralle » Fri Oct 16, 2009 12:03 am

Hello,
i'm from germany and i have 2 Subaru l-series, one old carburator(1985) and one with the turbo(1987)
Now i want to lift one of them and my question is where do you all buy these 3" lift kits, and fit them also in a Subaru with Air-Suspension.

I hope you understand me.

Hi,

You can buy lift kits from the very section you have just posted in;

Doesn't matter what kind of suspension you have, suspension isn't really related to a body lift. Although I would advise to ditch the airbags and go with a new traditional strut/spring combination if you plan to go offroading.

Kralle, your air bag system still works does it? I have had two of these auto turbo sedans both with air bag replaced with conventional components. Your model is referred to as a GLTA here in Australia. I have converted mine to a manual 5 speed dual range 4WD box and very happy with the improved result. I bought a going manual wagon for the components to complete the conversion. Your English is understandable, just. Room for improvement. :) :) only joking :) :)

Haha, a brilliant reference site. I'll be using that one in future.

From what I understand, those wheels are out of production and very hard to find.
