lift kit

Just wondering if anyone that's in Victoria close to Drouin that has installed a lift kit in an L series wants to help me do mine? They will be payed for their trouble...thanks.

They aren't that difficult to do yourself. Just need to jack the car up on stands and work from one end to the other. I find working from the rear to front works best for me.

it looks fairly straight forward but im not to sure what i do about the bracket that holds the fuel filter near the tank

If it's a good kit then it will have the necessary tab sticking out the side of the lift block to hold the filter/pump plate. If not, you can make a small one out of flat bar or thin sheet.

thanks RSR 555, its made out of solid aluminium block so looks like i'll be making a bracket...thanks heaps for the info

Just to jump with a dad type comment.

Make sure that your car is elevated safely, as sometimes the kits take a bit leverage to get them in, and you do not want the car to topple.

Also, spray all the bolts with WD 40 for a few days prior to starting.

Post some pics of your handiwork when done

Engine crossmember at a guess and before and after pics are a must

thanks again, i plan on starting it tomorrow with a mate. iv been sussing it out all day and i think i should be right ( fingers crossed ) and yes pics will be taken for sure

well what a day, but alls good 5.5 hrs to fit the whole kit looks heaps better now. thanks for your help and will post pics soon

thanks Milla, just need a set of 14 inch rims now and i'll be set. i bought the kit through this site from a dude named Fatz from Tassie.
