Cant thank you enough for posting this lift kit build, I managed to pick a lift kit up 2nd hand with no instructions just a box of blocks. With your pictures and a few of the threads here ive managed to get the rear in and about to start the front end. 3" should make a huge difference to the old girl.
Only real difficulty was remembering to release the brake lines :o bloody lucky they didnt break on me before i saw what was happening.
cheers again

Hehe at 3" they would snap. I had mine in the precarious position of effectively supporting the suspension at one point getting the final blocks in.

Glad to have helped somewhat. This forum helped me a load with the lift so I'm glad to pass on something.

Good luck on the front! Take lots of photos! ;)

Did you have to adjust any of the shifter linkages with your lift?

Ive gotten the 3" in the rear but had to change my front ideas of a 3" to a 2" as the aircon unit hits the body at about the 2 1/4" (lucky the 2nd hand kit I got had both 2" and 3" sets for the front) and unless I can make some brakets to lift the unit somehow I will have to leave it with the nose down slightly. The car is starting to look good, and the 14's no longer rub :)

I'll have to see some photos buddy!

As for pictures and modifications to the shifter: I did none. Yep, absolutely none. made the gearstick a little shorter yes, but other than that she's sweet. Occasionally now she doesn't wanna go into second due to the angle of the guide-plate (if that's what it's called??!) but I will fix that when the nail hurts enough... Which is not yet. :p
Mine's a little nose-down, but that's how Brumby's roll! :D

Get onto those brackets - it shouldn't be too hard to do. Just make sure it's sturdy and you'll be sweet.

Personally I'd be going 3 inch all 'round if possible.

Cheers
