05 Liberty Lift.

Post by Bettsea » Mon Jul 22, 2013 2:14 pm

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum and have been looking over heaps of your posts but cannot fins exactly what I am after.

Basically im after a little more height in my Subaru Wagon. Now I need to put in new shocks regardless as the factory ones are fairly shot! So im wondering can I just get outback suspension components and bolt em in under the liberty?

any suggestions for how best to lift my Liberty would be appreciated.

It is the Mrs car and we love it but living on a dirt road it can scrub easily on the driveway etc. but I don't want to affect the handling.:confused:

Upgraded shocks might lift it enough for dirt roads.
There was a thread on a us site somewhere i was reading that explained whats needed to refit outbacks with gt suspension and there was a fair bit involved but im not sure on the major differences in lib and outback setups

Yes, you can use Outback suspension on your Liberty to raise it, I'm not sure what you need though. Several people have done this, have a look at Venom's thread, it might be in there. His is a Liberty with Outback suspension...

You could get some HD springs that would give you about 1" of lift

01 lib with king springs raised 30mm, kyb shocks and bit bigger tyres on forester rims on my lib works a treat, had em on there about 40,000 km handles perfect
