ok thx:)
What do you guys think? Instead of the normal steel bar used for the engine cross member, Could i just use 4 aluminium blocks like for the gearbox/radius rod mount? WOuld that be ok or would it affect something?
I know it won't look as great, and that it may stand out and cops may not like it, but as far as the strength go, Would it be ok with that gap in the middle?

it would work but would not be very strong, the reason a re-enforced steel tube or a solid block of aluminium is used is because the engine sits on the crossmember, and when you rev an engine it creates tourque which in turn creates movement (a flexing and twisting motion) some of which the engine mounts soak up but the rest is transfered to the crossmember if you have 4 seperate points it will cause the crossmember to move on those mounts

The lift is awesome and all the mods you did on the brumby where to a very high standard! I've had the car for over a year now and done some cv,s and rebuilt the powersteering rack. Looking at drilling out the hubs wrote of my spare sunny rim on the weekend and need some big rubber to fill the arches!
