Ok if its a female style diff late L driveshafts are shorter[the ones with a cv outer]You can interchange any of the models[l,lib imprezza] shafts cups etc.I had late l shafts and L cv outers mated to wrx inners which pulled the shaft ,drivers side, out of the diff.To solve my problem i used early L rx shafts and outer doj mated to wrx inner cup, sounds like you have the opposite prob.Chris rodgers may be the man to talk to his setup sounds similar to yours.

and a follow up to my question on the rear springs of a FWD and the 4WD. They are the same. Someone did say the FWD rears mount lower in the scale of things. Oh well, its arse will just sit up there :)
