The local mechanic fitted new KYB shocks to my 1998 Forester GT. The rears were way too soft, so the doctor compensated by fitting stiffer springs which I didn't want. Any advice on decent gas shocks for the rear of a Forester GT?

Best is to put heavier coils on, shockers wont change - same goes with mine they're too soft but I like it when I tow a trailer or a load on it feels just right - without load its too soft.
