Hi guys,
After wheel mods what do you do for an accurate speedo reading? Also out of curiosity, with right hand drive vehicles...what side is the gas pedal on?Being right handed ( and throwing like a girl left handed ) I wonder what driving a stick would be like at your house

Cheers all !

The easiest way is to get a speedo conversion box and fit it between the g/box and the speedo cable. It works on the % difference of rolling circumference between the old and new tyre. So if you have a 10% difference your speedo conversion box will be geared at 10% to adjust the speedo cables speed.

If its electric speedo, such as on gen2 liberty, you can buy jaycar speedo correcter but the catch is that you'll have to solder the kit together, i have that on mine. Before i installed the kit, it'll show 8kph difference since i've fitted outback size tyres.
Cheers

Pedals are all the same mate, and there isn't much difference changing gears with the opposite hand... The hardest things are using indicators on the sticks etc

Jaycar doesn't exist over there yet and although the electronics stores I saw over there may not have this you may be able to get someone who knows what their doing to adapt something else or track something down!
And the pedals and other controls are all the same but as mentioned the indicators and wipers are different depending on which country the car is made!
The biggest difference is the turn signals ours are always orange and the parking lights are always run seperately i.e. they dont flash.
But if your curious the pontiac G6,G8 and soon to be pickup as well as some of the cadilac range are all built over here by Holden and shipped to the US and they are all badged as a Holden here including the saturn astra.whereas the ford motor company don't export anything. We also only get half your range of japanese vehicles! but we do get the toyota hilux and landcruiser but the US gets the Tundra instead!
