Does Liberty rear suspension actually go under the L / XT series?

I have seen a few cars, even brumbies, that have said 'liberty suspension all round', I get the front, thats fine, but on the back, are they talking about using XT6 hubs, or is it possible to fit the EJ rear end under the older cars? I mean, anything is possible, tecnically, but has anyone done this type of conversion?
cheers.

Angle grinder and welder.... Then it all fits. Otherwise they DEFIANTLY don't bolt right up. Probably about as easy as putting a solid rear axle under the rear.

That seems pretty unlikely to hear that said all the time....I think you may be thinking of the more common phrase of "Liberty brakes all round". Not suspension.

Well OBVIOUSLY it doesnt bolt in! Does anyone have details of the kind of thing that is required? Your brumby would be interesting, as the Liberty track is wider...
Photos of this kind of thing would be nice.

As Phiz said: Grinder and Welder... then post us some pics
This thought crossed my mind about a year ago, the I thought about engineer's issues and the motivation needed and thought it was all too much at the time. But don't let that get you down!
