After hearing that I was after a lift kit he said that he knew a wreckers in Bendigo who had a couple of lifted my's and would check it out next time he was here. A couple of weeks later he called me and "for a very good price" I had a 2 inch lift kit that also turned out to be an alloy one. El_freddos generosity did not end there as he offered to drive down to Geelong and help me install it. So on Saturday the 20th March we did just that, install it.
When Bennie rocked up in the morning the wagon was ready and waiting in the garage, so Bennie got straight to work unloading the kit, jacks, jack stands and laying everything out.

After a few documentary photos...

We started on the back by jacking it up and putting it on stands. First attempt at jacking was not succesful, as Bennie was telling me about the hydralic jack he found on the side of the road years ago in NT and how it was a beauty it started to leak oil. Bugger, never mind, he is a boy scout and came prepared with a couple other jacks.
First step, remove wheels, place jack under diff for support then remove diff hanger brackets and shockies

This where we struck the first hiccup, the right rear block sat too close to the edge of the fuel tank, but no worries just had to grind a groove in the block.

The blocks for the suspension crossmember went in no worries.
The shockie brackets went in no wories also, the only problems was removing the pin from the rubber eyelet , had to hacksaw one end of and bash it back through the other way.

I think we forgot to add a piece here can't figure it out, any ideas?
No really we only had one nut, and we left it off so I could buy a new one.
Rear end installed
