Hey everyone.

My wagon i have just bought seems to have suspension that is in a bad way. I was wondering what people can reccomend im in the hunter valley (newcastle).

Just wondering as well is it worth replacing the springs or should I just use the existing springs.

I will mainly be using the car for driving on the beach and off road.

Thanks

I'm also wondering about replacing suspension on an L wagon. all tho i'm more interested in maintaining height when loaded with camping gear.

i'll be interested what people suggest openflame.

If you want to keep your ride height while loaded I suggest buying King springs.
Besides that can you buy Kyb struts for your car...

The catalogue for king springs is here: http://www.kingsprings.com/catalogue/ki ... alogue.pdf

I got them priced at auto pro warners bay.

$158 for rears, $250 for fronts - remember you have to buy a left and a right because they are different. (KYB Struts)

I havent looked into springs yet.

Im going to do the rears first and see how it goes, because the rears are absolutely shot, the fronts arent too bad.

That sounds pretty cheap openflame cheapest I could get kyb's for the rear was $200 and that was online. I did pick up kings for the rear for $115 plus $19 postage. Got the spring now just waiting for kyb's to arrive. I'll let you know how I go with the install.

Cheers

Yeah, ive got the rears in my room part number is 341216.

Ran out of time to switch them over this weekend.

How much did your springs cost? I figure i should look into doing that as well. Also, did you get bushes? The parts place i was dealing with said they only had a listing for pivot arm bushes and that was it.

KFFS-45 thats the part number for the king springs. Might get them priced as well.

Thats for the front actually i just realised. KSRS-03* for the rear, and it says the springs only fit original and KYB shocks, theres a seperate part number for monroe shocks

King Springs wholesale for $80-90. I think the retail ask at Repco is about $180, so if you go there make sure you beat them down a bit.

Nolathane do control arm, trailing arm and sway bar mount bushes. Radius rod and sway bar link bushes are genuine only.

king springs for $80-$90 are you talking for a pair or each coz if thats for a pair thats cheap. i rang kings springs HQ which is close by to where i live and they sell them there to customers for $170 per pair so $170 for front 2 then $170 for back 2. but not sure what the sell wholesale for. i paid $115 online.

my kyb shocks arrived this morning so when i get time new suspension for the rear.

Look on the king springs list. Do they have raised springs for your car?
If not you can always ask them if they can make one
