hi all. was wondering if any one that has a 3ih lift on a l could take photos of it installed/

not sure what goes where or if i got all the parts

Try searching around for pics, theres bound to be plenty. But in all honesty you don't really need em. Once you have the lift kit sitting near your car and you look at things, it's very obvious where it all goes. If you get stuck during the install just post up a question and somebody will point you in the right direction. Did you have any particular questions about something to do with the install?
Post up a photo of what parts you have and we can tell you whats missing...

sry for the wait but i have been very busy with uni assignments.


Ok First of all i didn't take pics of the front sturt liftkit as its impossible to get the cam up there. but on my kit, it had arrows on it and they had to point inwards.

This is a pic of the block that goes on the engine crossmember.You can also see the blocks for the radius rod mount.

Obviously those are pics of only one side on the car, and the other side, the blocks are indentical:)

so the rear crossmember's front bushes' bracket is deleted?

well thank you so much for the pics. isn't there a set of blacks for the gearbox as well?
my kit is a bit different where the diff is lowered at it's mounting points which i like better.
so the diff is covered.
i got the leading rod covered as well (though i am MISSING 2 BOLTS),
front crossmember covered
as for the rear, i got the rear crossmember bush covered,
but as for the front one, do i just delete the plate? i got the block for the bush, but not the plate!

back to the gearbox, seems odd not to have the gearbox lowered! isn't it suppose to be lowered? if so i'm missing those blocks.

Has anyone heard that lifting in NSW is now very hard to do? Apparently new RTA rules say that you cant go more than 5% of original height or something.

The gearbox is lowered with the radius rod blocks, as the gearbox crossmember uses one of the bolts on each side to support it. For a visual the gearbox crossmember is the yellow bar that runs out of pic on the right with the gearbox shown in the background (thanks Guyph for the pic):

There's only one gearbox crossmember. Put your subi on a set of ramps or jack stands and take some time looking at the underbody - get up close and personal (not that personal!), you should be able to work out what's there and what you think is there...

Then bust out your lift blocks and see how they'll fit - work out where the missing bolts are from or if the original ones are used.

The liberty uses a sideways H gearbox crossmember...

There is usually a thin crossbar further towards the rear of the gearbox but this isn't actually required - it doesn't hold anything up. It's just there to catch the tailshaft incase it falls off the car, so it doesn't dig into the grond and catpault you into the air (I think it would actually just fold the tailshaft in half really, they aren't that strong). I havn't seen anybody actually bother to drop this down, it just gets chucked away usually.
If you have an automatic L series then I think you will have a rear support crossmember here which would need to be dropped down.
