seems sometimes you say the word brumby in a parts shop and suddenly parts get 24k gold plated

this guy on ebay has them (just the struts and the picture is wrong)

Hastings, NSW, Australia and they are kyb's

Or they buy them off Subaru, paint 'em up and rebox 'em as their own , and make a tidy profit. Thanks guys. I was gonna try genuine as IS ALWAYS worth the comparo I have found in recent past.

I priced a set of rears for the L series - about $270 without spring of course. These were the gabriel units. I'm going to go for a second hand set next time I'm at PAP, should be a lot cheaper!

I also don't like the way the subi bounces around the road with the shot units on... They're starting to create a crabbing problem around corners similar to what steptoe has asked about in another thread...

Cheers

any new shock is gonna be and feel better and safer than an old, but does anyone know if KaYaBa as found on ebay, are any better than a genuine. A mate has an uncle who is based in Europe and is his country's wholesaler of several top brands, many of which retail for about $40 ! Shame the postage is the killer.

KYB's are the units that came out on the L series from the factory arn't they? And I'm sure they're the pick for replacement from what I've read. I'm going second hand as I just need the rear to settle down and drive as it should for now.

Cheers
