outback struts on liberty?

Will gen3 outback struts bolt onto a gen1 liberty?

Fronts yes, rears no.
Gen3 has multilink rear end which is heaps different.

i thought gen3 also had two bolt strut tops in the rear where as gen1 has 3?

what brian means is riksta has lifted a gen3 using gen3 parts..

tops will but you cant unless you replace the rear hubs etc etc

yeah, as I said....gen1 and 2 rear struts/springs are interchangable, but Gen3 has a multilink rear end - the strut/springs are totally different and will not work in a Gen1 or Gen2 car. And you can't convert your Gen1 or Gen2 to multilink setup, the car doesn't have the right holes or mounting points.

Righto, so the bolt spacing on the rear struts to knuckles is different and gen3 struts won't bolt to gen1 hubs. But the fronts are just a swap and go. Cheers guys.
