Hi everyone

Just came back from a week on the sunshine coast running about everywhere with my EA82T brumby. Lotta fun, but have a few knocks in the rear suspension. I noticed the rubber on the top of one of the rear shockies was stuffed so turned it around just to get home. I want to check over all the rear rubbers..so..

Question..where is the best place to get replacement rubbers for the rear setup for brumby. I'm gonna jack her up tomorrow and have a look at what needs to be replaced,,so where is the best place to source replacement rubbers for these brumbies.

Thanx....T.

What rubbers? Shockie rubbers can be bought anywhere and Brumbys can chew up rear ones if loaded and/or driven hard.

Diff hanger and trailing arm bushes can be sourced from Jeff at Crossbred.

That's about it on the rear. The front has radius rod, lower control arm and sway bar bushes in the suspension plus steering rack mounting rubbers. All available from Crossbred or genuine if you prefer rubber. PM Frog for the best service and prices.

I was thinking about the rubbers at the front of the trailing arms ..but they look alright.

The rubber on the top of the rear shockie was buggered. Went into pedders at Toowoomba today looking for new rubbers and came out with two new replacement shockies. Guy said that the rubber is bonded onto that horizontal rod and can't be replaced???..no replacement part for it he said???. Have to buy complete new shockie??Cost about $90 buck each.

Also found that the rear axles are noisy (banging) against rear bearing housing on stub half axle. Some idiot (me) forgot to put those soft rubber washers in there when he renewed the rear bearings. Luckily I still had them. All fixed now. Hopefully, noise is all gone but I will have one last crawl underneath tomorrow. Off to the Nostalgia Drags at Willowbank this weekend so should be ready.

Thanks Giles..Yes had a good week at the coast at Coolum. Kept the car off the beach but. ..maybe another time.

I've just pulled the suspension apart at the back of my ute, right down to the height/preload adjuster bit, and pressed the torsion bars out of the link plates (7tons) cleaned everything up, and anti seized it for the future. can you buy new 'torsion bar end' bushes?? mine seem rather outof shape, the rubbers ok, and still bonded to the shell, its just not round anymore. also, should these be stuck onto the link plates? any one know?
