Hi all I recently had a blow out on my brumby strut tops and am trying to find a supplier of strut tops preferably nolathane or something of sorts, I want to do this before fitting the crossbred kit. I know that Kmac in sydney make indestructible ones for commodores and falcons etc but I want to know what is available first.

Nolathane were making adjustable strut tops when they were trying to break into the damper market under the Redranger name, I've got a set on my wrx and a set for my RX but I don't know if they are still available or made for MY Subaru.
Checking their site there is nothing listed but they still have strut mounts on their products page, so it might be worth a call.

Whiteline, also owned by Nolathane have strut tops listed for vehicles after '89.

Again a call might be in order.

There was a clever little invention a couple of WA guys made years and years ago they called "the strut top restrictor". I beleive it was just a bit of metal shaped/welded in a certain way which made it basically impossible to bust a strut top.
I think Subarino might be the only person around who knows the details to this. He's on here occasionally at the moment but he's travelling, I know he's back in January. Might be worth looking into.

Actually rereading your post, the crossbred kit comes with strut top adapters for MY models, do you know what they are before you start drilling?

I've got a set of their springs on my turbo sedan and they are decent, they even resized them for me without charge when I initially bought them and wasn't happy with the size.

Their strut tops also look very similar to the Nolathane ones we have on the WRX but it's interesting they list the Vortex(XT) as the same as the SVX and the L-Series/MY/MV/Brumby together. I was under the impression that the L-Series (and hence Vortex) strut tops are the same as later models.
