They aren't that difficult to do yourself. Just need to jack the car up on stands and work from one end to the other. I find working from the rear to front works best for me.

If it's a good kit then it will have the necessary tab sticking out the side of the lift block to hold the filter/pump plate. Just to jump with a dad type comment.
Make sure that your car is elevated safely, as sometimes the kits take a bit leverage to get them in, and you do not want the car to topple.
Also, spray all the bolts with WD 40 for a few days prior to starting.
