fastcam bolts

gday, have a gen 1 lib and just got outback struts and raised king springs (500ks old and only $400!).

I've read on some american sites that they needed fastcam bolts on the rear to maintain correct camber - because of the raised springs.

I've also read (cant remember where) that these bolts aren't the greatest in terms of reliabliity.

Anyone had any experience with these?

Also, the car does not have any body lift and is stock, besides the outback struts and raised springs that are to go in.

Was hoping to chuck in the new suspension this wkend but will have to put it on hold if i need the bolts.

I have SF Forrie struts with standard springs in my G1S2 lib wagon, and all I did was left the lower 2 bolts on the struts a little loose until I put the car back on the ground. There is a little play in the bolt holes which allows for very minor camber change. After the car was back on the ground I rolled it back and forward a couple of times to settle the suspension and then tightened the bolts. The bolts are pretty hard to get to though.

Can't see why they would really need the extra eccentric bolt as you already have one on the inner side (near the rear diff) of the rear lateral arms that allows for adjustment when getting a wheel alignment. I would only say it's used when the guys put over-the-top suspeension lifts in their Libertys. I personally wouldn't use those Fastcam Bolts in an offroad vehicle as the thread size is generally smaller than the factory ones.

hope that works.

looks like ill just give it a crack with out the fastcam bolts anyhow and see how we go..

anyone else out there with outback struts and raised king springs (with no body lift)?
