i've been waiting around for months for an outback to be wrecking and grab the struts out of it but as of yet it hasn't happened and i think 200 a corner at the wreckers seems well abit over the top or second hand... so i'm just going to bite the bullet and go new. where's the best place to get your hands on a set and approx. how much am i looking at for some gen2 outback ones before i start calling up places getting quotes... cheers

online would be your best bet, i looked for my forester awhile back and kyb's over the counter were around $220 a corner.

I paid $199 for each rear KYB strut for my Forester last week when my lift kit and HD springs were put in. I couldnt even get them any cheaper online either. A mate of mine just got KYB's alround in his 03 Outback a few months ago. Paid about $600 for all 4.

I've found the prices thru WA Suspensions in Ossy Park to be pretty good in the past.

Get a friend who can get them at trade through Coventries, I picked up a front set for about $330 but as they were no longer than standard I took them back, my supplier is no longer available.

Give Supacheap a call, from memory the forester one's I got were about $160-180 each plus transport as they arn't a stocked item.
