2" Ausubaru Lift Kit
2" Ausubaru Lift Kit
Hey I am looking for a 2" lift kit for my 2006 Forester.
I have contacted the [email protected] email on the front page however no one has responded to me.
Do they still sell them or even make them or is there somewhere else I can get something like this from?
Cheers
Edit: I think that I may have put this in the wrong place.

Yeah thanks for that I have had no luck from ausubaru and even if I did now I would be a bit reluctant to buy it because of the lack of communication from two people now.rtcb65 wrote:If no success there , you can always try Jeff at Crossbred Performance.

I contacted Jeff he quoted $460 for a suspension lift. I don't know but to me it seems quite steep for a few pieces of metal.. The ausubaru one I have heard was between $3-400..
It sounds a bit dear , but we just got a set from him , and dont forget , you only get what you pay for. When you factor in the cost of steal ,then the laser cutting to make the top and bottom fit right. Also the offset of the top and bottem plates have to be right to keep the tower right. Then nuts and bolts , then the welding to engineer specs . Then last but not least , the zinc dipping to stop rust . Then business costs. It dont sound to dear at all. It only sounds dear , because you are the one to spend the dollars...LOL...puma85 wrote:Yeah thanks for that I have had no luck from ausubaru and even if I did now I would be a bit reluctant to buy it because of the lack of communication from two people now.

Yeah good point.
I only want a slight lift to help a bit on the sand so I think the 2" strut top mounts should be more than enough.
So you say you bought a set from him recently? What is the quality like are you happy with them? No dramma's with fitment and did they come with adiquate fitting instructions? I can fit them no drama's just want to make sure there is something to guide me in getting them correctly installed for the offset.
Really highrise is no longer? Well that narrows down the options then I guess.
Jeff appears to be the only ones around except for a mob in the states that makes them out of bullet aluminium however they are only 1"

Jeffs as far as i am concerned are one of the best . As for fitting , take strut out, put lift block on top , replace strut , get wheel alignment. that is about it.puma85 wrote:Yeah good point.

Pretty much - there will be an arrow on top of the block to orientate inwards to the centre of the vehicle between the two struts - basically pointing to the diff...rtcb65 wrote:Jeffs as far as i am concerned are one of the best . Much easier than a full body lift!
And Jeff's quality of workmanship is awesome, ask Venom, he got a full 2 inch body lift for his lib and he looked like

Cheers
